For Products you can choose between 11 available field types for each custom field! Check the following list to see the various custom field types:

• image (available for Prestashop 1.7.7 and on)
• file (available for Prestashop 1.7.7 and on)

For product fields you can define the exact position of the custom fields in the admin by choosing for each custom field between all native Prestashop hooks of the product edit page.
