Indeedno you can use main theme for anything!
we need elementor
I mention default theme because it's suffice for blogging and you don't need additional plugins hence better performance/speed.
I get your point @Tomz, I use elementor for all of my current projects. For elementor I prefer "hello" or "astra", depending on the project haha
