Hi all, as the title says is it ok to provide web design services will nulled themes, especially on Upwork, Freelancer, etc.? With my current situation, it is possible for me to buy genuine licenses.

If you expect to go with upwork or other Freelance platforms personally I would avoid or just include it somewhat in my pricing. On a technical point though you definitely can but It is always better to have something genuine if you can as I have been hiring freelancers on such a platforms from a client point of view I believe that getting a licence is better (if only for the support). My advice try to see if you can start with nulled (something clean though) and go towards getting license when you can if money is tight that is my opinion at least.

Best way to deal with this is to provide to client a test site on a development server using nulled scripts but you have to discuss with client upfront that every theme/plugin used to achieve the goal should be bought by him and licensed to him. If he agrees to a project that uses nulled scripts also you have to tell him that further updates to themes/plugins aren't included in the price of project.
This way you avoid a very long and annoying discussion about further updates after the project is delivered.

You can use the nulled theme when you are designing the website but include the cost of the theme licence in your design service when you deliver the final product. This way you are providing the client a genuine product and at the same time reducing the cost at your end. Though this advice is since you are on a tight budget. Another reason to buy a licence is that with regards to updates. A nulled theme may or may not be updated.

Be ready with a Plan B (ie, buying the clean version) in case the nulled version fails (for some unknown reason).

Hi,
I am a freelance web developer and mostly develop sites based on WordPress and I would never recommend you to use nulled themes or plugins for your client as most of nulled scripts contain malicious viruses and backdoor hooks so you got no clue when your client's personal data be stolen or site go down for no reason or for ransom so being a developer be careful and some good people above did explain that you should talk with your client upfront about the pricing and what your package includes and what not which is trust building. I personally highly discourage you to use any nulled script in a live site especially for a client or you will end up losing that precious client's trust as well as the money for onward services. Better use nulled scripts on your own server or localhost for practice purpose like i do just learn different popular themes, plugins, builders ... etc then when building a website for a client ask him you need to pay for such and such plugin or recommend him and most of the clients would simply pay not a problem for them and they love getting ideas from the developer itself, hope it helps dear.
