Hello I am new to SEO, I have been reading there is plugins or applications that can assist you registering websites on directory example www.yell.co.uk and creating local creation if anyone can give me some advice as submitting a site to 100 directories is gonna take a while to copy and paste and type all the information which will be the same for each directory.

Yup.
If you think you can achieve meaningful results without investing some time, dream on.
Also, be careful to which directories you submit your website as some can have the opposite effect (not the website you mentioned - yell - that's reputable).

From what I know, links from directory submit is low value. Only links from reputable website with high SEO score that is hard to get is high value. 1000 directories submit couldn't even compare to 1 link from those reputable sites ;)
