Downloading Video from Spotify

Hey guys, I made this thread in order to spit-ball some ideas, hopefully with people with more knowledge than me.

Spotify is making a move into video in a big way, especially with exclusive deals . While previously there wasn't a great need to download video or music directly from Spotify (many GitHub projects, Python scripts being the big ones, search Spotify for X and then find the same X on YouTube, then download from there). This is not possible with Spotify exclusives.

My initial thought was maybe a jDownloader 2 plugin, but the maintainers there said they have no plans to add this functionality.

Second, Wget with a cookie from the web browser and download the video that way. But alas, Spotify has made video unavailable in the web browser and ONLY on the desktop/phone/tablet apps. Even if you can download through these apps, it will be encryted.

So...any ideas how we can download video through Spotify apps somehow? I am currently coming up short.

Interested in hearing some ideas.

EDIT: While there are only one or two exclusives on Spotify currently, I think it would be beneficial getting ahead of the game on this.
