It's a crazy price increase but as long as I renew on time every year I'm locked in at my current price plan.
Yup, but only as long as they want. I wouldn't be surprised when Elementor doesn't attract enough new customers in the next 2 years, they will a) get rid of the grandfathering of existing clients and b) backtrack on their price hike (but still put prices higher than at present).
If you read the comments everywhere, quite a few people have lost their trust in Elementor.

That's always a risk. Existing customers can also move to the $999 plan for $499 recurring for a limited time. But for the sake of the only benefit being the VIP Support it's not attractive to me.
