Hi,

I have a 2 year old website. I will give a fictitious name for this domain, for example: mywebsite.ro.
In the meantime I have also got the domains mywebsite.design and mywebsite.site. These two domains are new, they have not been used so they have no history.

When I started researching how I could redirect mywebsite.design and mywebsite.site to mywebsite.ro, I started to have doubts about the possibility of affecting the old domain from an SEO point of view.

Is there any way to use all 3 domains for one site without the old domain being affected from an SEO point of view?

Thank you.

Very easy task my friend. You can simply follow this tutorial:

Make sure to make it a 301 permanent redirect and not temporary if you want "seo benefits" over the long run.

If you use one domain say domain1.com with the full nameserver dns setup.
then take your other domains like domain2.com and domain3.com and "forward" them to domain1.com so basically domain 2 and 3 redirect you to domain1.com you will have no SEO issues. Its only if your site used all 3 domains directly that you would get a duplicate content issue.

You can also use a plug-in like this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/multiple-domain-mapping-on-single-site/ you create a page and you map a domain to it and you make the page a landing page with a call to action that links to your site's name address and page or to a section of your site. Like if you sold toys and games. You could have a domain that forwards to landing page about great puzzles and then that takes you to the puzzle category when you click on any of the call to actions. Basically you're creating one or more pages on your website that use a different domain name so you can avoid duplicate content. The things like this should be used sparing ley one or two good ones is great. 5 or 10 can have a negative effect.

This is really useful though specific marketing campaign usage. Or to highlight an event or something special. Like you could map a keyword intense domain to a page about whatever special thing you have going on. That then directs people to your main site section on it

This is a very interesting solution.
It might be the most suitable option in my case.
Thank you.

I use Cpanel with 1 IP: 1.2.3.4
Domain A with an A record pointed to IP above. On folder like: public_html/a.com/
Then I made an A record for domain B point to the same IP.
Next, I go to Cpanel > Domain and add a new domain (domain B). Domain B folder set to: public_html/a.com/
(Same like folder hosted the domain A)
Domain C, D do the same
Finally, visit all the domain via browser you can see it use the same content, structure. But different domain.
For SEO, you can manually create your sitemap for each domain.
My site use Laravel
