I want to rank for only one keyword having enough searches (1k-10k) and medium competition. For example my keyword is “CanadianSlippers” And the domain “CanadianSlippers.com” is available. The competition is like that i see only amazon products on the top search results. What should i do, whether to go with exact keyword domain (CanadianSlippers.com) or to go with something more brandable.

Wanna add one thing more about the content of the website. The website will look like the official slipper store website containing links to the etsy/ebay products.

Waiting for suggestions. Thanks for helping out!

I think if you're trying to rank in google search, having a keyword in domain is a plus. But that's only one of the so many signals used by Google. So it's not that important nowadays. I personally would go for a brandname like some crazy GOOGLE name or ETSY that don't have any meaning but easy to remember.

Or for example like SunFrog. They're selling shirts and have nothing to do with a sun and a frog :ROFLMAO: but they're easy to remember and have a clear goal - which is selling T-shirt.

Yours might be like BeaverSlips or MooseSlips if you want to use iconic animal name to Canada.

BeaverPaw, BeaverFootwear, or like SunFrog, go for something like SunnyBeaver/MoonBeaver? 🤔

Thanks for helping man. Appreciate that you went over and beyond for explaining. But i am thinking of getting the keyword domain cz i am not a good content writer So it would be difficult to rank #1 using non keyword domain. But i really appreciate that you gave your point :)
