Hi Everyone,
I am using Hostgator shared Hosting. Recently I was trying to get PageSpeed Insights LCP to green from red (10-11 sec). I was using Optimole but it is only good for giving me WebP images. Otherwise whenever I try to switch Lazy Load and other performance-related settings on my LCP is touching double digits. So I have disabled lazyload (disabling is giving me 5-6 sec instead of 11-12 sec) from WP Rocket, Optimole and Smush as well. (tried all three in different combinations as well) So I tried to contact the support for converting my images to webP because WebP converter plugin says WebP is disabled on GD and IMagick. To my surprise, after 1 hour they told me that currently, the server doesn't support for WebP for PHP 5.5+ for some security reasons. So I have to downgrade from 7.4 to 5.5. Is this true for all servers? Or is it time to change the hosting server?
