Hi am currently using WordPress to build my site I was just wondering what the difference of having the sitemap of the site on the footer or header menu via direct link or having it just generated by a plugin such as Yoast or the SEO framework I seen a few sites around that have the sitemap direct on their footer me I personally have it generated by the SEO framework plugin but I was curious does that help index the site better ? Thanks

Hi.
The Yoast will genarate .xml sitemap for you. It does not require any gesture. Yes it does help Google to index all pages that .xml sitemap referes inside. The "sitemap" on the footer is just number of internal hyperlinks to help people to jump to another page/post on your site.

Generally using "old school" footer sitemap today is a dumb thing. Because you have menu and breadcrumbs on your WP site, it probably enough to navigate your visitors.
