Hey guys, I have started to think about how legal it is to re-sell your unlimited license for wordpress themes or plugins with GPL license?

I have been googling for 3 days but can not find some good answer to that.
So for example if I have bought Astra Theme Lifetime/Unlimited websites license - can I resale it, and if I am caught by the author what can happen ? :)
Is the ban of the license key without refunding my transaction the worst possible or there are any other possible legal consequences.

From what I can understand, it's not legally right to sell your license codes. Perhaps you should read the developer's terms of service etc.

Some theme or plugin developers don't have terms, while some do but sharing the files without license is not an issue.

As we all know, the license is to secure the files so if for instance you buy a license to be used on unlimited websites, I see no reason why you can't resell it if you want as they sold it to you so you can use it freely but at the same time it doesn't really sound right legally. 😄😁
