went it comes to security best method without hurting the site performance or the server resources? currently, I was testing a few security plugins after testing a few I manage to stick with 2 to choose from and its itheme security pro and wordfence premium now if you guys have any of this plugin can you share your experience do you have any issue such as a hacked site ? with one of this plugin install. I am currently facing the issue were am getting tons of fail login attempt with wordfence but with itheme am not getting that at all let me know thanks you

I also regularly use Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall which I find very good.

I used to use iThemes pro, it's light because most of the security measures are just htaccess rules. Now I use custom codes + fail2ban + cloudflare, all the free stuffs because I'm cheap

UPON MY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE . . . .

FIRST) There's nothing can beat Sucuri PAID version . . . . But too costly, was able to afford it just for few months . . .

SECOND) iThemes security pro: have been using since last 1 year . . . Lite on system , . . lots of useful security features , but yet low level of firerwall security (which gets quite enhanced with Cloudflare addition) . . .

THIRD) BPS Pro/BulletProof Security Pro: Used it for 1 year after purchasing , better firewall level than iThemes , but I couldn't like the GUI (Interface) much . . . so, yet having license for it I shifted with iThemes security pro . . .

If you gain good merging knowledge of combining BPS PRO + ITHEMES SECURITY PRO (both are compatible with each other) + CLOUDFLARE , then it'll reach quite near to SUCURI . . . . .


I HATE WORDFENCE SECURITY , TOO HEAVY FOR SYSTEM & PLUGINS COMPATIBILITY ISSUE . . .

Awesome i had wordfence just remove it it was draining my server resources i added itheme security pro i was thinking on combining it with BPS PRO thanks for the suggestion

i think ninja firewall (WP Edition) is a real secret tip and could even beat Wordfence, because it uses less server resources than Wordfence and apparently detects more attacks.

I vote for Sucuri.
If someone asks me "which do you prefer?
a- A plugin for securtiy which is developed by Security Company
b- Security plugin which developed by Developers

I always choose "a". But it's too pricy for me so i handle security things for projects.
sometimes i just use htacess tricks + custom made changes and cloudflare
sometimes im using ithemes plugin also cloudflare.

I would suggest you watch this video which explains everything about these plugins and after that, you will realize why some plugins are just crap and not worth it to use.

Few months ago I notice that itheme security pro was blocking my users after they view few pages. I check on google and I found that its happen with many users.
After that I shift to wordfence .
