On top of that just look at stackposts own forum, paid customers complaining left, right and center and developer is mia.

And this dev has 3.5k sales count.

which of all the files did you download? when I go to install I get 500 Internal Server Error

Try editing your .htaccess file

Comment line 2 and add Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch

So you first 3 lines should look like

RewriteEngine On
#Options +FollowSymLinks
Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch

Do same with htaccess in install folder else you wont be redirected after successful install.

What web server you are on.
I was able to get this working on even OLS, so apache should be good.
500 errors are for sure due to .htaccess

Check your error and access log to see, what it's trying to hit in the backend, and if it's generating something in logs.
That will clarify if .htaccess is working properly or not and also if it's not .htaccess what is breaking it.

He was using plesk. It was fixed.

On that note, do you have steps for ffmpeg installation on ubuntu and php 7.4 by any chance. Too many guides with variation on internet.
Also, were you able to get that whatsapp plugin to work?
I was able to change license variation check in whatsapp plugin but still couldn't get it to work.

I am going to say GOOGLE is the king.

Try using the tricks that has most hits or use your judgement.

I have centOS on which i have ffmpeg but i had installed a while back so dont have steps for it

Never used whatsapp so no comments on it.
