I havent done anything else as I couldnt edit button to direct to other pages in the the site.

It works for me, but u have to do it from within the wp-admin/pages.

Great thanks, But I dont see that on page edit. I may have to reinstall as classic edit etc is not there. visual/text shows same code

Well at first the classis editor was enabled and i had the same screen as u and i could not edit with wpbakery from there,so i disabled the classic editor and now i could edit within the wp-admin/pages...edit with wpbakery just fine.
Install the classic editor and then check, if not just disable it to see what happens.

Thank you for all your help, I just cant seem to get to those blocks. Re installed wordpress, theme still no joy. I added the classic editor still no joy. Tried different demos and still have same on all. I just see codes in either visual or text mode. Time to move on to different theme.

Yes I checked that, i am wondering that I have latest wordpress installed and may be this theme doesnt work with it
