I see that these are not the same files provided by buddyboss, some of the code and files are missing, is it safe?
It is safe. If you have the files from BuddyBoss, why aren't you using them. Better still, post them!

no I don't have them, but I watched their child theme tutorial, they showed the code
O.K., fair enough. This was made by someone I know, but works fine. I've never had the original child theme and never seen it offered anywhere.

You don't really need to use a child theme created by them, its very easy to use your own. Many tutorials om google on how to make one, this one seems good: https://wpklik.com/wordpress-tutorials/creating-child-theme/
There used to be plugins to create child theme too, look them up!
