There are so many courses out there. I bet most people who register for a course drop out before even completing half of it.

While users are to blame for losing interest quickly, I also think most courses are basic, half-assed, rushed through and made only to earn quick bucks for the creator.
They advertise it extensively, but the content comes us short and doesn't meet your expectations.

But then amongst this sea of subpar quality courses, you come across one that is really engaging, thorough, practical and you can apply the skills gained the very next day. You regret not taking such a course before wading through endless number of low-quality resources. Now those are the kind of courses that are really worth your time and attention.

Your time is timeless! I think we should definitely raise the bar for which course deserves our attention , time and effort that goes into completing it.

If you have come across such gems based on your experience, can you please share such courses(three at most!) for the greater good of our community members? Ideally in the following template.

'Course Name' by 'Creator/Website' --- One line reason why you found it so good.

Just share something that was personally impactful to you. Doesn't matter if the course is available on this forum or not.

I really like this idea, do the recommended courses need to be about any particular topic or can they be about anything? I certainly made tons of web development courses and could definitely share some recommendations.

Yes, it could be anything, but it should be truly truly a great masterpeace, not average

Absolutely, long story short, I didn't know jack about coding before 2020, so my new decade resolution was to learn web development, this is the masterpiece course that got me up and running:
  • The Complete 2021 Web Development Bootcamp by Angela Yu: The perfect course for someone who doesn't even know what HTML is, she starts from the absolute basics and keeps up building to more and more complicated topics, but the instructor is marvelous and it NEVER feels overwhelming.
  • Modern JavaScript (Complete guide, from Novice to Ninja) by The Net Ninja (Shaun Pelling): Once you become a bit more familiar with JavaScript there's no other JS course you want to take but the Net Ninja's, this guy has a knack for explaining the most complex stuff in a ridiculously simple way, mind-blowing.
  • The Net Ninja YouTube channel: The best possible YT channel for web and mobile development enthusiasts, do you need to learn React, Vue, Node.js, Gatsby.js, Next.js, etc, etc? He's got you covered.
I hope these recommendations help you guys as much as they did help me, I did find a web developer job 10 months after I hit click on Angela Yu's course first video.

This is a great thread starter. I think the most important commodity in life to us is the 'Currency of Time'. Once you lost it, you can never gain back more. With the amount of courses available to us these days and there is only so much time you have.
If Possible then we should check out the top notch and gems first and the rest later, of course one person's gem may not be for the others.

Let's continue to share the ones that are impactful and truly top class
