i always do the automatic update because i have a license, so i do not know why its still showing older version, when you go to system what do you see under Update system

I see update notification 2.4.9 (maybe because I just replaced all files instead and those files are not nulled yet).

I tried to access domain.tld/update and the system says no update package found.

Well, if you don't mind, please share the zip file.

Unfortunately this, like too many programs, requires apache (unless there is a lot of modification for the rewrite). As opposed to superior web software like nginx, lighttp, caddy, etc.
