the settings page has errors and does not open. This does not allow the script work as well. Even quick validation does not work because time out and a from mail in settings page cannot be set

You will never get any updates, yes it is open source - Check this link "https://metacpan.org/pod/Email::Valid" checks for the below params
-mxcheck
-tldcheck
-fudge
-fqdn
-allow_ip
-local_rules

If you have access to root, and port 25 open, you can do it yourself.
or request me here, I can set it up for you.

Basically most of the email verifier script use cpan script, if on shared host you need to host it in "CGI-BIN" folder..

Tested but not working on public domains like yahoo, aol, mail.ru, yandex etc
