I'd take an off the shelf solution and modify to suit as there are some extra data fields there like spot/object. I'd think of it as more of a room booking type plugin etc and tweak some of the fields - even if only on the frontend side by way of displays field named 'room' except you output it as location or similar.

What I've done is use a standard form with the following fields.
First Name | Second Name
Telephone Number
Email Address
Fishing Date
Choose A Peg
This then pushes to Google Calendar using Zapier, and emails two seperate email addresses for the booking confirmation.
It works fantastic and it's easy enough for people to fill a form in. I did try off the shelf products but they didn't do exactly what I wanted to thought I would go the form route and suprising enough it's simple and works.
