Hi All,
While this plugin is great, there is one flaw.
1.When viewing the gift item, the customer has the option to add to cart from the product page.
2. This makes it a purchased item
3. This leads to refund of this amount and poor customer experience

Any code snippet / setting to fix this?

I checked with the plugin author and It appears that we all are missing some useful options in later updates to this plugin!
