My opinion is that guides like this are a waste of time. If you want to have a career as a web developer then start from the basics and then study the major frameworks around. Start collaborating and practice, find a treasure on github. Decide on a field of specialization and get skills to be exploited in the job. Keep away from fiverr, upwork and all that sh**, better an agency or your own client even if you will be paid little at the beginning. Forget wordpress: if you want to work seriously nobody accepts a job done with a theme that you can buy with $ 50 or less (or nothing!). Check out this:
