Check your script's mail configuration from the admin panel...also there is a great script which is Kingcommerce if you could find it tell me:

do they have the option to set availability of product for selected locations based on zip code or city like this pop up? or how to add the option? i m currently trying active cms.

Active Ecommerce CMS - this is the best. but it has some bugs.

If you do not need many advanced futures I would recommend you Opencart, it is very easy and light on resources.

I did not read about multivendor, but I believe Opencart is not a good CMS for handling this. It is very basic.
