Did that on local and fresh install on sandbox and both working fine for me.

The orientation is now vertical. In previous version it was not like this.
See my design which done with happy addons previous version and it became exactly like what you shared after this update.

Alright from my diagnosis don't use happy particle effects this causes the plugin to break the site

It might not be related but I noticed they removed the styling for the particle effect tool not long back and it pushed the effect under the main wrapper, rather than inside.
I got around the positioning of the effect by adding:
div .ha-particle-wrapper {
position: absolute;
top : 0;
left : 0;
width : 100%;
height : 100%;
}
This css was taken from an older version when the particle effect was working. All I have done is target the div that lost its styling.
