Hello,

Can our lovely Graphics Gurus in the house please help me out and kindly tell me how to crop the icons in images like this one into individual icon images?
I don't have PS experience, so the easiest non-specialist option that works, please. Thank you.

@admin - I wasn't sure if General Discussion was the right option cause the GFX options were mainly for PS categories.

Hey bro,
this page https://thenounproject.com/ cant help you out, check and download the format .png its works fine in photoshop.
or, .svg its works fine un ilustrator.
I asked how to edit that type of image without using photoshop (PS) or any software without the need to take the time to learn. I already have image sources, thank you.
Maybe I'll use paint in the meantime till I get help. By the way, were you trying to promote that site?

there are lot of software's available to do this simple task ( For Crop ) Even Taking Screenshot will help .

Or you need to Erase the background ? then try Canva ( In our babiato you can get the hack for canva pro )

Thank you for your reply.
I got by crudely using Paint to get the job done but it would be nice to have precision cropping of each icon in the image to the same size.
I'd appreciate it if you could recommend an easy-to-use software for the simple cropping task, please. Canva in the past did not seem to keep the quality of the image when I used it to remove the background or make the image transparent.

FastStone Image Viewer has been my choice of tool for various smaller tasks with images. It does have an option to crop them.
Additionally, if the icons are evenly spaced in the collection, you can use a systemic approach to crop them out with precision (the tool allows entering numbers). One method is, cropping out each row of icons first, and secondly separating individual icons as columns.

Thank you very much for pointing me to the software. I installed it and was wondering if it was possible for the icons in the grid to all get cropped simultaneously and saved. Any thoughts?

Sorry, if I wasn't clear enough. It was only a suggestion for an approach to make things easier.
There is no single command to achieve what you want. Instead you can make the calculations in your mind and crop one peace at a time (but in the given example you can just use the lines as a guide I guess). Also, after every crop execution you have to save a copy with a new file name.

Thank you. I had tested the individual cropping and just thought it had a way to crop the image as grid pieces. Who knows, there might a software that just does that some where.

If this is not a one off, but something you want to do regularly and need more precision I have a suggestion for a procedure to follow. What do you want to achieve out of this in the end?

Thank you. It was a one-off at the time but the need may arise again. The search-specific term you mentioned will come in useful. I'll check it out in detail. Cheers.
