I've been building websites since the dial-up AOL days in 1996 when I was just 10 years old. Since then, I've been highly involved with warez and pirating, starting with AOL and IRC as my download sources.

Today, May 15th, 2021, I finally broke down and bought my first theme\plugin ever. I've paid for a few appz throughout my years, but never a theme or a plugin... mainly thanks to this forum!

The reason why I paid for it, aside from not finding it nulled lol, is that I plan to use it on several sites. So to me it was worth the $59 to not really have to worry about manually updating ALL of the sites each time a new version is released. Plus I didn't have to dig through google and fake download sites trying to find it. I still would have liked to try it before buying if it was available, but I stopped searching after page 1 of google.

Most of my savings always go towards hospital bills and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon, but I just said 'fu** it' and bought it anyways. My cheap ass did use the four monthly $15 payments on PayPal instead of one $60 payment though  I always choose that option on Amazon too lol. Why not? It's interest-free :)

I'm sure this thread was TMI but I just wanted to share this life-changing moment of buying my first theme in 25 years, especially since this community has been so good to me lately.

Side note: For those that are aware of my cancer coming back for the third time, I received some "good" news last week. Previously, the odds of me being able to keep my voice-box was 5%. But they scoped it last week to get a first-hand look and while they said "it's still likely that they gotta take it out", my odds of being able to save it moved up to 50%! That's still not the best odds but it sure in the hell is better than the 5% that they estimated just from looking at the scans. What really sucks though is that I won't know until I wake up from the surgery. I've prepared myself mentally for this as best as I possibly could, but still being put to sleep not knowing if they are gonna be able to save it or not, then waking up and having a hole in my neck and not being able to talk would still cause me to breakdown. But I swear man, the prayers have helped! 5% to 50%! Thank y'all so much for the prayers and kind words in private messages. We may be pirates, but y'all proved that we are still humans with compassion. I'm so thankful for the love and support that I've gotten from y'all and everyone else. I'll never forget it!

Oh, and the theme that I bought was Gorgo. It's very similar to Medium, but it has full support for bbPress, BuddyPress and all the other plugins that I use.

bbPress support was the biggest seller for me because I love scraping Reddit and have it auto-post the posts and replies, usernames, etc. to make it look organic as possible.

I'll try nulling it after I get everything up and running on all of my sites. It will be my first nulling attempt, so don't get your hopes up yet lol

Take care and enjoy your first paid theme, mate!
I did tons of paying directly for themes, plugins, premium scripts, premium courses & membership for my study & my business and I never get bored, when we pay for the products we love - we enjoy our life and the sellers enjoy their life,2!
