Is PO Box really essential for email marketing?

I am an Indian doing email marketing using getresponse targeting US. I have a list of 12k subs growing everyday. I dont mention any PO box address in my emails. Should I care about that?

To be compliant with CAN-SPAM laws you must include a physical address in the footer of all emails you send out. GetResponse may require this also. I'm not sure what the repercussions of not doing so would be.
