i try send my backup to Google Drive and when i try connect Google Drive service in destinations... Appear this error:


Invalid authentication request

Missing username parameter.


And in the documentation of backupbuddy indicates that this error appears due to not having the Backupbuddy licensed.


Can anyone help?

I had the same problem.

You'll just need to use a different storage service (I use Amazon S3) or buy a Backupbuddy license.

There's no other way around it that I could find.

You can Decrease the Maximum time per chunk in "BackupBuddy -> Settings -> Advanced Settings / Troubleshooting -> Basic Operation" and set it to something like 20 Seconds.

If that didn't work, you can also try Disabling the zip compression in "BackupBuddy -> Settings -> Advanced Settings / Troubleshooting -> Zip"

If none of that worked, you should probably switch to alternative compression systems. In order to do that, go to "BackupBuddy -> Settings -> Advanced Settings / Troubleshooting -> Zip" and then enable Alternative zip system (BETA) and work with the new settings that appear.

There is a complete article on this on the ithemes.com website. I wasn't sure if it was ok to link to it.

I tried all the above settings but some how the current nulled version of backupbuddy isn't working

Thanks. I tryed all tricks, but nothing. I switced back from php8 to php7.4, reset backupbuddy to default settings, and now working. Why not working on php8?

AFAIK BakcupBuddy is compatible with PHP8.
So it's probably something in your PHP configuration. Either zip extension is not enabled or maybe max input time and max execution time need some tweaking.

I have same problem; it works fine with php 7.4, but is is not working with php 8.x

I make a change and I think it works with php 8.0....

1- backupbuddy/destinations/gdrive/Google/utils.php Line 67 change:
ord($str{$ret}); --> ord($str[$ret]);
2- backupbuddy/destinations/gdrive/Google/Http/REST.php Line 134 change:
$requestUrl .= '?' . implode($queryVars,'&'); --> $requestUrl .= '?' . implode('&', $queryVars);

Can you try this changes.
