start by checking the following folder with FTP, for the filenames mentioned in my previous msg.
/wp-content/mu-plugins/
I did not look into the malware and i don't have the time or will to deal with it.
but with that said, installing a plugin that writes to mu-plugins , can still work even after deleting the plugin.
it can also put the files there and activate them even if you never activated the main plugin...
so check that folder for any suspicious files and get rid of them.
I would also check all your site's users in WP, if any new suspicious user was created. I would definitely also change the database (mysql) password, wordpress admins passwords.

well if u don't have the folder it's a good thing as you probably never had a plugin to add a must-load there.
but check references just in case. read here -

Okay, I have seen it.
I don't have the "Must Use" Tab in my Installed plugins section. I only have "Drop In" it's advanced-cache.php there. Nothing else.

then it looks like you're safe. i'd change the details suggested above anyway (passwords).
that drop in sounds legit to me. probably wp-rocket or a caching plugin.

It is showing a message about the license key but everything works without activating (as far as I noticed)
