You won't need a video tutorial because in the update tab, there's a proper way to do it to make it null completely.
For extensions, most of them are posted there.
I believe one can set up everything on one's own.

Replace the file except the .env (APP_KEY is new the rest old .env dta)
clear cache by ***/cache-clear
You are done
check 'php artisan migrate' in 'cd parent-directory' if there is database update
