It's best to get both no-follow and Do-follow backlinks. Although Do-follow backlinks MUST be greater than that of no-follow to help your website grow.

According to the recent Google search algorithm update, backlinks in the comment section of any website will not be honored in search ranking. So, from now on it's a total waste of time if you spend it to make backlinks in comments.
