Speed of the website is nice
Design is simple and I like it, not much distracting, thats the main point.

Few improvements:
Just serve scaled images. Its easy to do, and it will improve your score.
Loaders are too big and not too eye friendly if you ask me (giant sand-glass icon) xD

What I like:

What I don't like:
- The font size too big for me. no need to add text-shadow and i suggest use font-weight 600 for the list, and 1rem for h3 title.
- image loader, I suggest using a smaller one (or fixed size one).
- sidebar, for me, is too small. consider using % than rem, i tried to inspect your sidebar post list, and 13rem width is better.

I got that hourglass issue also, as previously mentioned, due to slow loading times.

Also, your colors are not nice. Looks too much like a 12-year-old made the site.. not sure why..

Your side panel, is very long, and your page content is approx half as long, so you end up scrolling down and there is an empty page, only a long-ass sidebar.

The blue color in your logo should be the same exact blue you use on the page.

You are showing a "list of comics" link on your homepage, but when you open the list, it's practically empty.. I would wait on adding the link until you have some additional content.

You contact us page, I would add a message box, not just an email.
I know many people say its useless, but personally I feel it looks more professional than an empty page with an email on it.
