There are lots of changes in this last version including at database level. So try it on a fresh install (not over your old one) on a subdomain and full test its functionality before replacing in production.

That's not a rush. If you're currently using sendy then make sure it works before using it for production.

Yes, even the last version has some issues while installing it and it got resolved by the developer but this is very simple and easy installation.
