this theme (like many) can't be nulled out of the box to import demo data.
The reason is that the demo data (and sometimes premium plugins) is served from the authors server after a license key check on their server.
Although it's always possible to null a theme to allow all the functions to work (because those are only local checks), it's getting more often that plugin and demo data is served from an api server after a license check and as we can't change the code on their api server there's nothing we can do to bypass it

for TheGem v3.7.0.2 full package:


1. Prepare a blank site and an empty database, do not install WordPress
  1. Copy files ( ...\Demo-Data\thegem_demo_website.zip\ ) and ( ...\Demo-Data\installer.php\ ) to the root directory of the site
  2. Run installer.php by following the link -> http://www.your_site_name.com/installer.php/
Step 1. Check "I have read and accept all terms & notices (required to continue)", click Next
Step 2. Specify the name of an existing database for import (Database), user name (User) and password (Password) for connecting to the database, click Next, Yes
Step 3. In the Title field specify the name of your site, click Next.
Step 4. Click Site Login, log in the site with login "admin" and password "nullmarket"
4. Installation is complete.


*** After installation, replace web template with a new version:
( ...\TheGem_Theme\thegem ) -> ( ...\wp-content\themes\TheGem )

*** Update plugins manually:
( ...\Plugins TheGem ) -> ( ...\wp-content\plugins )

!!! All demo pages are in the section: Dashboard -> Pages -> All Pages

Thanks for the quick response.
For some reason, This theme doesn't have the files.. \Demo-Data\thegem_demo_website.zip\ and \Demo-Data\installer.php\ . In short, there's no folder by the name Demo-Data.

Mind sharing your copy of theGem?
