I am likely to be the oldest person using thrive here lol (I want to be lol ) because I have been in love with their products since I started WordPress.

You are not stupid either because things do happen sometimes. Sometimes things escape us.

Or maybe, I have rather done something (I actually realized wordfence was stopping me from saving some pages when I uploaded the version I downloaded from the other platform to I deactivated wordfence and after that, it saved but in a couple of minutes my site broke so I had to reverse to an old backup)

So yes, just to be sure where the problem is coming from, kindly connect me remotely. Thanks

my strange happen when i tried updating the old one directly. it was updated but downloading shapeshift from cloud failed. "download the latest version of thrive product manager" which i did. then it connected me to my guest account on thrivethemes.com yet all plugins showed. i even downloaded clever widget from there...but the shapeshift didn't work...i now get the response to check my license.

Hi @TassieNZ , There's an issue with the themebuilder. when you try to change the a section, like the header or a sidebar, that section just completely deletes and there's nothing you can do to bring it back.

An acquaintance that has the full version said it's working fine on the full version, so I think the problem is with this nulled.
