The Script is dependent on third party libraries which are now Deprecated. Upgrading it to laravel 9.8 is not a good move for this type of script as they manually have to upgrade dependencies which is same as like creation of product from scratch.
Update the project to php8 or a new laravel isnt easy, also a lot of plugins are dead to newest version, etc etc
