Do you change the name of env.example before starting the proccess? DO NOT CHANGE . The install procees will create the content for this file. Copy the code, an paste in the env.example file, and then rename the .env.example file for .env
If you want a fresh install Go to UltimatePOS/storage/logs and delete all the log files present there.

Yes, I did that, checked everything, other modules work on the web, only the sales ones don't, and I get a 403 error on the web server

Regarding delete purchase, make sure "Transaction Edit Days" under the Business setting is more than the date of purchase you want to delete.
I hope you may upgrade directly to V4.6 but always take backup of old installation in case of upgrade failed. (Developer also takes months to reply on ticket even you've purchased it directly or offer them under the table to resolve it soon)
