Closing this thread as none of you deserve this, you all want something for nothing. (I'm excluding @slvrsteele from that comment)
If I coded by hand I'd be charging over $1000 for a simple site, so what is your point?
Example with counter question: why would you build your own PC power source from scratch when you can use a modular power source at cheaper price and already tested?

My point is to know why you choose elementor which doesn't give you full control. I'm not saying it's bad or anything. It also doesn't matter to me how much you charge for a website, I'm not asking about that. Just as a developer im simply curious of your choose. Elementor is nice to use and i use it aswell but quite often it's too limitating for me so i just wanted to know what is your solution for its limitations. And why only wordpress, pretty often people need just a simple landing page which you can do with bootstrap from premade elements and it will be easy to maintain and lightweight in comparision to wp.
Because if my PC would be something new i might have to. It's not what i want rather what i would need to, to complete my job.
That is very rude of you. No one (at least in forum conversation) said that you are charging too much nor that your work is of bad quality. Nothing like that. Just good words from Tassie, and completely normal question related to web development, so why so rude? I did not want to attack or offend you in any way. I'm just asking what tools do you use and why simply out of professional curiosity.
Personally i use many tools like bootstrap studio, pinegrow, elementor, oxygen, react framework. All of them have their pros and cons. It's good to know them and have solutions to make our workflow more effective.
So take a deep breath and chill. I'm very glad that you are offering your help with web dev for our community in good prices. It's very nice of you. No need to take anything personally or assume that someone has a bad intentions towards you.
Have a nice day everyone and love each other![]()
Firstly, I'm a web designer/developer with over 20 years experience. To some extent you are correct. In a perfect world, coding a site right from scratch is the best solution. However, a much more expensive solution for the client. Often one that they simply can't afford. My point is to know why you choose elementor which doesn't give you full control. Not just using a Premium template, but using a base template and then designing exactly to my clients specifications.
That was what I meant, Hello is still a theme though!Actually no templates used what so ever for your sites. Everything has been built from scratch using the Hello theme, except for AM which uses Astra but again no template there either![]()
A theme not a template....big differenceThat was what I meant, Hello is still a theme though!![]()
Sorry, as you know I'm not having a good week. My brain is having a worse week.A theme not a template....big difference![]()
Have you tried LiveCanvas yet? I'm thinking of using that for my next project.I prefer to use hello theme aswell with elementor. Recently i'm using oxygen more and it has a great potential although it's way more demanding than elementor and sometimes a little bit buggy.
I know mateSorry, as you know I'm not having a good week. My brain is having a worse week.![]()
Is that question for me or @TassieNZ ?Maybe it's an offtopic question but.... Can I ask you were you find the clients?... I'm asking because I'm also an web developer, android apps developer and designer.... I've tried freelancer, upwork and webs like that, but I couldn't get anything
I'm not much use to you as most of my work at present comes from "Word of Mouth", recommendations from other clients.Maybe it's an offtopic question but.... Yes, I have tried it and i like it. It's very promising but for now too unmature. I'll definitely watch how it will develop. It has some nice features i do really like.Have you tried LiveCanvas yet? I'm thinking of using that for my next project.
Done.@medw1311 can you dm me some of your best work using Elementor pro? I am really interested to look into them.
