I hope someone can help me with a workaround or a solution.

I have put WHMCS on my server to try out, with a view to hopefully going live with it. I would like my customers to be able to manage their entire site from it, but because I use a shared hosting platform at the moment my host says I can't have credentials for the WHM module - only my cpanel login.

However, I haven't been successful in getting WHMCS talking to CPanel, does anyone have any ideas?

But again don't I have to do that inside WHM (that my host say's I can't get access to). In my CPanel I don't have any API options available to me.

If you have shared hosting, you won't be able to do it. You need access to WHM to do it. There is no other way!

I had a feeling you would say that, I was hoping there was some way that WHMCS could connect direct to the CPanel with my credentials.

If you have Shared hosting there is not way WHMCS could create accounts for you. You would need a re-seller account if you want to do that. Sounds like to me you're adding you customers as Addon Domains, which does not have them their custom cPanel login. I do not know the cost you are paying for your hosting, but you can get a reseller account here.
