Mine works on the sites I have tested it on so far. May have to remove old version first??? Not sure, as don't know what nulling used with the uploaded one! I just use mine.
v7.8.0 NULLED (Taz)
Found it under All Options instead of Tools. Didnt fix the licensing issue, but Taz's version worked!

Hello,
I installed the plugin in a clean install and it did give me the license notice,
so i then completely removed it, installed the free version and then got a free license on my email then installed @TassieNZ version and it worked flawlessly... 365 days of premium license.

Nulled Version is Working Perfectly in Mycase, I just activated the free license and the premium got activated! Thank you @TassieNZ

For me it's the best one of the FW plugins, others would prefer the sucuri maybe...
The free version is good enough to have your site protected and i install the free one on clients who are not willing to pay for their security (most of them actually are cheapos)...The nulled one is only used for my staging sites for testing even..
Running the free version though means you have to keep an eye on 0Day-exploits and Vulnerability advisories to be on the safe side. WF free version have a 30 day delay for populating firewall rules and malware signatures
When it comes to if such a plugin can protect your site 100% from being hacked, clear answer is no! Exploits and vulnerabilities might take a while until discovered, verified and patched. Until pushed out to public, the FW plugins have no clue about them. You can test your security a bit by uploading a shell to your uploads or any other folder folder and check if you can execute the file. If so then you are lacking some lock down options..
