I'm only replacing the wordfenceClass.php and it allows me to update from the WordPress plugin page directly ( which means from the official ), and it still works after updating the plugin.

Edit your php.ini
If you don't find them, just add 2 lines to your wp-config.php (after database credential)
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

Few simple steps to WORDFENCE PREMIUM
1. DeActivate Wordfence in your WP install
2. Go to your install folder /wordfence/lib/
3. Replace the file wordfenceClass.php there in that folder with the unzipped version of file wordfenceClass.php.zip attached with this post
4. Activate your copy of Wordfence —-> Premium
5. Very important : Do not forget to Say Cheers ... otherwise nothing will happen

Wordfence is better however it also uses more server resource than iThemes
