Reinstall, Drop/Empty Existing installation, and make sure PHP exec time is enough to run the installation script.
I installed and fyi this one is working perfectly.

make a .htaccess file
and put this code

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

and be sure your server have support for htaccess and mod rewrite
