I thought your concern was on privacy but I was wrongDude, I'm so grateful for that post! My only concern is that I don't want to load resources from a subdomain or another domain. I'd rather use it as a WP plugin that is hosted on the same domain just so I don't slow up the page with third party resources. Many thanks! Will check all of them now!

Any additional plugin adds to your server load. Now dns can be prefetched and cached (if you use 3rd party service) while server-side of the the plugin (assuming they will write to db) not. Performance wise, this could be worse than using 3rd party service. Test thoroughly.
