Everyone says to uncheck the "Only check for stable upgrades" box but that doesnt help, and honestly I don't think anyone knows how to correct it, I had to downgrade as every-time it tried to check for an update, my forum would stall for a good five minutes, only errors were the Update check.

as for your wise ass answer about buying the license,
if that was the case I wouldn't be here asking for help and also giving advice and complaint issues about nulled versions.

If you know how to code then you can remove the auto-update from within the code but without a valid licence, there is nothing you can do about the error
Also when the website calls the curl command your website should not be going offline as the command is not called it fails and just outputs the error code in the log
if your site is going offline when the update command is triggered id say you have a miss configured server or you are running it in an environment that has not got enuff resources to handle xenforo I have had it installed for over a year now and not had any downtime because of the curl update command being triggered
Good enough, it didn't start until I updated to the current version,
Even if I take the code to get out of the updating, I would still get the file error check so, I just replaced the code.
I was hoping by now that there would be a fix for that error among the nulled versions,
So then it must be my host issue,and now maybe its time to switch hosts.
