Enhancements:
  • Improves the handling of fatal errors in the front-end by preventing Yoast SEO to run in the login page, allowing users to access their dashboard.
  • Excludes empty custom post type sitemaps from sitemap_index.xml.
  • Introduces a new filter wpseo_sitemap_post_type_first_links that can be used to add links at the start of the first sitemap page for post types. Props to @jamalbou.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixes a bug in the default editor where image elements would lead to repeated requests for that image source while editing content.

Other:
  • Adds new disabled toggles to the Crawl settings tab in the General page.

After install new version (19.7) my site warn me errors.

Fixes a bug where a fatal error would be thrown in combination with certain plugins that change the standard login page URL.

Something is blocking somewhere.
Remove plugins - both (free and premium).
Reset the cache of the site and browser.
Optimize the database.
Install the Premium version of the plugin again.
The free version is generated automatically.

- Delete all Premium and free version ( With File Manager )
- Install just Free version and Optimize one time !
- Install Premium Version after this u can Optimize always
- Have fun

Hey guys,
I also have had an issue with this update. I was ignoring the 2 errors I saw when I first installed, it's the same error repeated twice.
|"The following required query string data is missing: api_key"

I've tried quite a few things and still not working where the last version was fine.

Error when trying to update SEO focus phrase and meta field:
|"Updating failed. Bad escaped character in JSON at position 18843"

Tried "Yoast Test Helper" to ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’. Then did an 'Optimization', still getting the Updating failed error.

Disabled, deleted both, tried both of the files. Didn't work.
Tried the other method mentioned of just installing the Premium and interestingly, the free version that auto-installs is 19.7 (may be a clue as to what's wrong). Then states that there is a new free version available (19.7.1 of course.)

I also tried downgraded it did some fatal errors, so I may not have done it properly, but with the downgrade it just says "Updating failed."

Maybe this helps someone figure it out (could just be my mistake somewhere), or maybe we just need to wait until the next version?

Hello everybody, I've got some php and database errors created by Yoast (v19.3pn-&-v19.7.1fn). Can you help me or give me an advice what to do? Also my wp backend is getting pretty slow. Website contains around 2000 posts. Database size is 200mb.

error_log() has been disabled for security reasons1+

Plugin: wordpress-seo
As far as I know error_log could be useful to hackers to gain server access because it contains some valuable info, but my knowledge is limited.

Delete both plugins.
Delete the cache of the site and browser.
Optimize the Database so that there are no
traces of the plugin.
Install the Yoast SEO Premium plugin - download it
from this link:

This version is installed on my website - everything works.

If you can't optimize the Database properly, you need to restore the site and the Database from the last working Backup.
