I have this error happened when I disabled Yoast and clean its data then enabled it
it gives me this error

it's normal to give that error. because it creates an index according to the yoast order.

I got an error while checking sitemap on domain/sitemap_index.xml after fresh updating Yoast SEO Premium v14.1

This page contains the following errors:
error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
1. WPBakery Page Builder 6.2.0 plugins found to conflict, While disabling this working fine Yoast sitemap.
Now degrade WPBakery Page Builder 6.2.0 up to WPBakery Page Builder 6.0.3 but still found an error.
also, degrade Yoast v14.1 to Yoast v14.0.2 but couldn't solve the issue.
Can you fix this or wait to check the new version of Yoast?

yes but always remove whole yoast folder and install it again
