We don't need to change this manually since this is updated automatically.
I had to do it manually when I updated it since I use the original code. Once I completed the nulling of the licensing part, yes, you are right it will be done automatically.

Dood morning @ckeeper
Currently I am running on my localhost ActiveCollab 7.3.70.
Is it safe now to upgrade to your version 7.3.251 without issues?
Can you see the changelog to see what the improvments are please?

Oh yes. Last one. I know that the people over at AC are working (hard) on V8. Will you, when the time comes will you be able to get a copy of that as well?
Many thank for your excellent shares on the matter. I highly appriciate it 🤩
Regards,
PaKKo

Hey @pakko ,
I am currently running version 7.3.251 without any issues. Active collab is providing 2 versions, one is their cloud one with subscription, second one is the hosted version. They seem to have more resources on cloud version, prefer to handle self hosted one with calls.

Before updating just like any other software, it is smart to do a complete backup of the directory and database, so you can revert if something goes wrong. An update is fairly easy if you follow my instructions posted above and meet the requirements for the particular version (tip: such as maria db and php version etc).

Changelog, I have not seen other than for the cloud version which is here.

Currently, I am waiting on their chat functionality for the self-hosted version. They have been delayed to release that. As I was told apps are capable of handling the chat but their self hosted script is not ready yet. If they do not make any changes in their update process or major changes in their code, I should be able to get version 8.

Hello @ckeeper

First of all I want to thank you very much for your detailed reply to my doubts. 🤩🥳
Yes I am aware that AC has a cloud and a self hosted version. And I must say I also prefere the selfhosted version eventough on the cloud hosted version they have more resourses. I must say I use this for some years now (back when i had my first copy of V4)
So over the weekend I will upgrade my version (thanks for the headsup) and see the improvements and bugfixed they have implemented. Quite keen on seeing the improvements.

I know of this changelog to which you are refering to. But I see that it never has been updated anymore :-(
As you can get a hold of the latested and greatest I tought you had the visibilty to see a more detailed changelog for both version. From what I understand this is not the case. Oh well, no worries.

I receive their newsletter as you do and I am quite excited to so the new things AC will bring to the table as they explain here: https://activecollab.com/activecollab-8. Do they share with you a time estimate by when this new (upgradable version from 7.3.x) will be publicly available? Next month, maybe before the year is out? Or early next year?

Again. Thank you so much to taking your valuable time for your reply
Wish you a good weekend.
Keeps Safe.
Cheers,
PaKKo

Guys, I've installed the 5.13.133i version. When I click on the Add-ons or System settings, I'm getting a blank screen. How to fix?

Hi everyone, I've run into a problem and need some help. I tried to upgrade the current version 5.6.16 to 6.0.50, and run the following command:

php activecollab-cli.php upgrade -v --dont-download-latest

Who can share a clean db to rewrite my current one in order to make a successful upgrade? Or, to share a screenshot of billing_order_items table. Please!

Version 7.3.267 is untouched other than licensing part, directly from the activecollab servers.
Zippyshare
Make sure to upload this under activecollab directory as unzipped, also change the version under /config/version.php to 7.3.267
and issue the usual
php activecollab-cli.php upgrade --dont-download-latest

Ensure you have PHP8.0.x also this version requires mariadb 10.5+

Source is directly from activecollab servers. I have only modified the file mentioned at the first thread.
