When using the image optimization plugin, you also enabled lazy image loading in the theme.
Images that get to the first screen need to be disabled from delayed loading.
Perhaps you are also using the WP Rocket plugin?

i'm using litespeed plugin, i have tried disabling it and disabling the lazy load option in the plugin and even tried with a fresh website that doesnt use the plugin, if the lazy load images is enabled in the theme options then the sliding box will not show an image, it will show while the page is loading then it will show blank

They didn't exist before.
To optimize HTML and remove unused CSS code, JavaScript has installed the Asset CleanUp Pro plugin.
For caching, the WP Rocket plugin.

I for one am not someone who messes around with function.php as I haven't had great experiences and do not like using files that have not been uploaded by mods, so if this can be resolved in the nulled versions it would be appreciated
