Hello All,

It is possible to build a wordpress theme with elementor without using a pre-made theme ?
I want to create my own completly.... it is possible ?

When I do a search, I want to see the name I give to my theme, not hello or any other things.
I want to make it mine completly.

I am sure we have a way to do that...but im a real noob :)

Yes I have created so many theme and its very easy to do. Also you can integrate WPbackery or Elementor Page builder. If you like to take any Framework then it would be easy to customize the theme for Logo header and footer. You can take any basic HTML5 template and bind it with the WP loops to create WordPress theme of your own Brand.

Check this one made with Pure WP Loops

I have shared a demo theme completely working fine with Elemetor, if you know css you can customize to any thing.

Create a "Blank Page" set it as Home Page. From here "/wp-admin/options-reading.php" set the page as default home page.

If still the widget are coming then you need to add a full width template to home page. But Elementor installed on WordPress has that already this template. Just edit the Homepage's Page Attribute as below.

I dunno, I can switch between blank template and the same problem remain.

The search bar and the menu...+ footer.

No widgets activated

But the search bar and the 2 pages created are listed in the non-editable section

Ok, so...I have a couple of problem. Im a real noob with elementor.
Im trying to reproduce the "menu", "header" and "footer" bundled with JupiterX theme.

But on my wp installation with jupiterX I have a "navigator elementor" bar.
Really usefull to select what I want to modify. Ie: "Header", "Content", "footer".

But on my custom theme, I dont have this function....

Other problem is: when I modify a page, the system put the page automaticaly in a normal mode...
So I had everytime to come back in the normal page editor and select "elementor Cancas".
Is there a way to lock that on "elementor canvas" only ? It start to be really boring.

Third one, my vertical menu is fucked up...if I click on the meny hamburger icon, the menu pop-up.....but behind the page content, making the text menu unreadable.
As you can see some posts an items from the blog page come over the vertical menu...(see red arrows)

Finally, do we have a way to make my "header" and "footer" automatic on every pages, posts etc ?
Everytime I need to add a section, put my header in, create an another section and put my footer in...

As @sashikanta said that works and the same thing i use,
also in addition to that
you can use underscore & sage framework to enhance your foundation.

Found a blog related to this so you can understand better

And while use the theme builder option in elementor.

I tried yesterday sage...finally I was not able to use that.
I dont have a "composer" option with my hosting (cpanel).
And I cant install that as a theme only.

I know sage is alot before diving in, it also states that you need the basic understanding of wordpress frame to get started.

while searching for topic i also happened to bump into understrap but i don't know if it is whitelabel or not but seems good.
you can try i'll link it here since i already downloaded yesterday but haven't got the time yet

I think I will stick to 1 theme...I dont have the knowledge to build something good... + im a damn depressive man.
The hamster in my brain is a real hyperactive one and my skills cannot follow him :)

Before making something from a scratch simply to not be linked to a theme in the dev console its not important.

I played with more than 200 themes in the last week + time wasted in figma to design a 404 page...and finally...i cant do nothing with that. lol

This damn covid-19 think put me in a strange state where I need to build something. But...im not a builder.

-End of story :p
Thanks guys for your help and some guidelines, but..im a noob!

@GuiltyConscience don't be depressed, that's it.

Already been there, done that.
In starting i had tested out almost all the themes and after that some lightweight one's and then to improve workflows also tried frameworks.

in the end what i have found is if you can't make theme yourself, which is no issue since we already have some amazing starter frameworks.
But since you want to have the name given by you, you can opt for white label themes like astra, it's pro module has white label version.

and second option is _s framework which will have your name on theme but needs you to dive in code a lil bit but follow their documents and replace required value in file and use elementor to create everything with theme builder feature.

Other option is oxygen builder, it completely disables theme and works from scratch.

I now want to implement gatsby + react in my workflow to have the better speed, but that's on another level and i will need another few months to get it done.
But found that with time and research,

P.S. I will be working on understrap on next project, it looks promising and i wanna give it a try too, Let me know if you want to know how it goes.

It's all right everyone goes through some phase and it's just yours, you will figure it out what you want to do and go with it.

Hey dude, Divi , Elementor and visual builder are the easiest but I would tell you to just work on you core skills : html,CSS, JavaScript , once you get comfortable with them you will fell like you can do anything. Try tackling one of those long and awesome Udemy courses they have here, you will find tons of excellent content to keep busy and engaged building your superpowers/
