Plus, neither does the post actually work at all as it does not say anything about what does not work or what error you are getting.
Do you take your car to a local garage and simply tell them 'my car, it does not work' and then just leave it with them.

Improvements:
1. Demo content. Attachments import auto-retry feature added.
2. Site logo can now be imported during the "import by URL" process.
3. Image Box and Image Box Grid widgets. The placeholder image was removed as it led to layout misrepresentation.
4. Menu Cart Widget. Color settings for the "floating" state were added.
Bug fixes:
1. Contact Form. The date/time select field is misaligned.
2. Posts Masonry & Grid. Not clickable posts are clickable on mobile devices.
3. Tabs. Incorrect icon padding with certain responsiveness settings.
4. Up button. Border and background animation is not synchronous.
I had this same issue, don't know if it from the way the theme is nulled. but for those having this issue, the work around for this is, if you have already install v10.12.0.1, deactivate it, install and activate V10.6.0 of the7 theme, copy the required demo archive to the demo folder in the theme demo directory, then rerun demo installation to install the needed demo. after successful install deactivate V10.6.0 of the7 theme, and reactivate v10.12.0.1. possibly delete the V10.6.0. finally make sure the required demo archive that you need is in the demo directory, if not the import will fail.How to use the already existing demos in the folder?
because when trying to import demos from the menu gives me https request invalid
- also i am able to import only the first two demos
