Watch out this plugin: if you leave a browser tab open in wp admin dashboard, even in idle state, you will see a infinite admin-ajax.php requisitions loop running (observe with developer tools of you browser - XHR tab) making your server use huge amount of CPU.
The same happens with the free plugin WPVivid backup, but this last one only create this inifnite loop when his backup page are open or you're running a backup.
I don't know what are in the head of these developers, all above are plugins very mature and broadly used, they don't even need to touch admin-ajax for function... luckly whe have options.

my site gets 503 status when i open wp admin in several tabs (plugin, media, dashboard, page). then it returns to normal when I open only one tab
